Brandon (20-8, 9-1) is red-hot, having won 10 straight games, the longest such streak in the league. The streak was extended by another three games over the past week, including a 3-2 win over Osceola.
Jordan Feist led Brandon's offense with two hits and one RBI this week.
The Eagles' pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing four hits and seven walks to lead the league in both categories. Brandon has given up a mere 116 hits on the year in addition to compiling 163 strikeouts. Toney is the leader in that category with 79 Ks on the season.
The week's strikeout crown belonged to
Eric Hinostroza, who turned in six Ks for the Eagles. With 47 strikeouts this year so far, he ranks third in the league.
