The Licking Heights Hornets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Newark Catholic at home and fell 52-24. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Licking Heights has scored all season.
Kylie Gibson was her usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with six steals for Newark Catholic. Another player making a difference was Fini Kaiser, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Licking Heights has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Newark Catholic, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.
Licking Heights will head out on the road to challenge Licking Valley at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Licking Valley is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Newark Catholic will take on Waterford at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
