The Carrington Cardinals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Thompson 64-35. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Carrington in their matchups with Thompson: they've now lost seven in a row.
Thompson can attribute much of their success to Drew Overby, who scored 24 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Odenbach, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Carrington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Thompson, the victory (which was their fourth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 2-0.
Carrington will be home for the holidays to greet Hillsboro/Central Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Thompson, they will head out on the road to face off against Grafton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
