Ponder waltzed into their game on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They wrapped up 2024 with a 58-39 victory over the Lake Worth Bullfrogs. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lake Worth lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Braylen Fridia, who went 5 of 11 en route to 12 points. Another player making a difference was Ivan Sanchez, who posted ten points.

Ponder's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Lake Worth, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ponder will challenge Valley View at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ponder knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Valley View likes a good challenge. As for Lake Worth, they will face off against Stephenville at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
