Baseball Recap: Farragut Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

Farragut lost to Kennedy back in March of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Admirals were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Crusaders. Considering the Admirals have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Gio Bahena-Perez was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one triple. Nico Roman also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.

Farragut was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Farragut has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Kennedy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-10.

Looking ahead, Farragut will take on Hancock at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kennedy, they will challenge Hillcrest at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Crusaders are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
