Evagelene Denzer made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Sierra Dockter was incredible, scoring two runs while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Emily Thompson was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
Conrad was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .486. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Conrad, their record is now 2-4.
