If the Lyman Raiders were feeling good off their 63-31 takedown of the Langford Lions last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The New Year welcomed Lyman with a 72-44 whooping from Gregory on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lyman has scored all season.
Gregory was led to victory by Daniel Mitchell and Noah Bearshield. Mitchell scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks, while Bearshield scored 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The contest was Bearshield's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Cruz Klundt, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds and four steals.
Lyman now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Gregory, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.
Lyman will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Winner at 8:00 p.m. on January 16th. As for Gregory, they will head out on the road to face off against Burke at 8:00 p.m. on January 12th.
