The Oscoda Owls will head out on the road to square off against the Heston Academy Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
After a string of four wins, Oscoda's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Alcona by a score of 42-40. Oscoda has not had much luck with Alcona recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, Heston Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 54-49 to Mio-Au Sable.
Oscoda's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Heston Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.
Oscoda was able to grind out a solid win over Heston Academy in their previous meeting back in January, winning 40-32. The rematch might be a little tougher for Oscoda since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
