Softball Recap: Alhambra Takes a Loss

Alhambra was the 10-7 winner over Metro Tech when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Lions fell just short of the Knights by a score of 20-18 on Thursday. Even though they lost, the Lions' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.9 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Lillyana Reyes made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-6 with four runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Deidrea Tree was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-5.

Alhambra's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Metro Tech, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6.

Alhambra didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 23-2 defeat against Willow Canyon on the 4th. As for Metro Tech, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-2 loss against North on the 4th.
