Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Saturday (55), Charleston still had to take the loss.
When it comes to explaining why Charleston lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ko'terrion Owens. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 27 points and 15 rebounds. Treshaun Schandon was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Charleston's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-10. As for St. Mary's, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charleston will take on Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jackson will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for St. Mary's, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Non Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th.
