The Vista del Lago Ravens's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their sixth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 69-43 defeat at the hands of Heritage. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Vista del Lago in their matchups with Heritage: they've now lost four in a row.
Freddy Alarcon and Aiden Childs certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. Alarcon scored 13 points, while Childs scored 12 points.
It was another big night for Aaron Contreras, who scored 18 points for Heritage. Contreras is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Donovan Larry was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Vista del Lago has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Heritage, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vista del Lago will take on Lakeside at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lakeside knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven contests -- so hopefully Vista del Lago likes a good challenge. As for Heritage, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Canyon Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Canyon Springs will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
