The Stanley Blue Jays won against the Thompson Tommies last Monday with 62 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Stanley ended the year with a bang, routing Thompson 62-39. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Stanley.
Despite the defeat, Thompson had strong showings from Drew Overby, who scored 14 points, and Gavin Krogstad, who scored eight points. The match was Overby's fifth in a row with at least ten points.
Stanley's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.4 points per game. As for Thompson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.
Stanley will head out on the road to face off against New Town at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. New Town is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Thompson, they will be playing at home against Kindred at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
