Despite the defeat, Thompson had strong showings from Drew Overby, who scored 14 points, and Gavin Krogstad, who scored eight points. The match was Overby's fifth in a row with at least ten points.
Stanley's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.4 points per game. As for Thompson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.
Stanley will head out on the road to face off against New Town at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. New Town is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Thompson, they will be playing at home against Kindred at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
