After a string of four wins, the Rochester Zebras's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of Lewis Cass by a score of 46-44. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Rochester in their matchups with Lewis Cass: they've now lost three in a row.
Despite the loss, Rochester still got an impressive performance from Tanner Reinartz, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Baugher, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Even though they lost, Rochester smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lewis Cass only pulled down three offensive rebounds.
Lewis Cass got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was L.j. Hillis out in front who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Kolten Young, who scored four points along with eight rebounds.
Rochester's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Lewis Cass, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.
Rochester will head out on the road to square off against Plymouth at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rochester is facing Plymouth at the right time seeing as Plymouth is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
