The Moon Valley Rockets had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 57-41 win over Greenway. Given Moon Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 133rd, while Greenway is ranked 274th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Eddie Boone was his usual excellent self, scoring 17 points. Another player making a difference was Michael McArdle, who scored 16 points.
Moon Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. As for Greenway, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-17.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Yuma the next time they take the court. Moon Valley will head out to face Yuma at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Greenway will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
