Softball Recap: Timpanogos Wins Going Away Against Brighton

Timpanogos won the last time they faced Brighton and things went their way on Friday too. The Timpanogos Timberwolves put the hurt on the Brighton Bengals with a sharp 13-3 win. The Timberwolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Kelci Gingras made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Gingras was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Kale'a Nakayama was a standout: she scored two runs while going 2-for-4. She also put up two doubles, which were her first of the season. Shaylie Lang was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Timpanogos hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most three strikeouts in four consecutive contests.

Timpanogos now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Brighton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Timpanogos will take on Parowan at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brighton, they will challenge Madison at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
