After three games on the road, Hanson is heading back home. They will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Irene/Wakonda Eagles at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Hanson's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
Last Thursday, Hanson was able to grind out a solid win over Lyman, taking the game 58-51.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Irene/Wakonda, who are still winless after their fourth match. They were outmatched by Wynot on the road and fell 78-31. Irene/Wakonda has struggled against Wynot recently, as their contest last Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jens Hansen, who scored eight points. Hayden Hansen was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
