The Mendon Unity Mustangs lost to the Lewistown Indians on January 6th, but the Mendon Unity Mustangs didn't allow the Lewistown Indians the same satisfaction on Saturday. Mendon Unity took down Lewistown 52-36. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Mendon Unity.
Lewistown lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lexi Kruzan, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Landry Smith, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Mendon Unity has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. As for Lewistown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-13.
Mendon Unity will head out on the road to challenge Liberty at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Liberty is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. Lewistown will take on Illini West at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
