Rye Neck (Mamaroneck, N.Y.) had a comfortable lead entering the fourth quarter, but used 16 fourth quarter points to seal the 24-0 victory over
Tuckahoe (Eastchester, N.Y.).
After taking the lead on a defensive touchdown in the second quarter, the Panthers led 8-0 at the half.
Rye Neck put up 16 points in the fourth quarter en route to the win. RN scored on two rushing touchdowns in the quarter, including two by
Ryan Morningstar.
The Mamaroneck school got revenge for last year's 20-0 loss to the Tigers with the victory.
In a Section 1 C/D game next week Tuckahoe (0-1) takes on Bronxville, and Rye Neck (1-0) will go up against Pawling also in a Section 1 C/D game.
