Lawrence Academy has gone a perfect 10-0 against Northeast Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Warriors will take on the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Lawrence Academy barely beat Faith Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors blew past the Patriots 9-1 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won ten matches by seven runs or more so far this season.
Clair Ferebee made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Addie Phelps was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Brower, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northeast Academy). They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over Columbia last Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Like Lawrence Academy, Northeast Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Chole Long. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Long was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three runs and one RBI.
Lawrence Academy's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Northeast Academy, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-8.
Monday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Lawrence Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .460. However, it's not like Northeast Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .464. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Lawrence Academy's way against Northeast Academy when the teams last played back in March, as Lawrence Academy made off with a 19-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
