On Thursday,  it was close, but  Madison County sidestepped Charlton County for a  47-44 victory.
  Jaidyn Wesley continued  her habit of posting crazy stat lines,  scoring 22 points along with eight  rebounds and six  steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which  she has scored at least 25% of Madison County's points.  Kemyrianna Richardson was another key contributor,  scoring six points along with three  steals.
 Despite the  defeat, Charlton County saw an underclassman step up:  Trenity Hamilton  dropped  a double-double on 20 points and ten  rebounds. The  match was  Hamilton's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was  Mahogany Steele, who  dropped  a double-double on ten points and 11  rebounds.
 Even though they lost, Charlton County  were smashing the offensive glass and  finished the game with 24  offensive rebounds. That's the most  offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
 Madison County has  been performing  well recently as they've  won seven of their last nine matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Charlton County, they are  on a three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 6-5.
 Madison County has the luxury  of staying home another  game and will welcome Lincoln at 6:00  p.m.  on January 8th. Lincoln is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Charlton County, they will  face off against Hilliard at 5:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
