Despite the loss, Bruce saw an underclassman step up: Sutton Gore scored six points along with five steals.
Bruce has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Calhoun City, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-8.
Bruce will head out on the road to challenge Houlka at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Houlka has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 199 points over their last three matches. Calhoun City won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Independence at 1:00 p.m. on January 13th. Independence is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
