The Bruce Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Calhoun City, falling 60-29. Bruce has not had much luck with Calhoun City recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, Bruce saw an underclassman step up: Sutton Gore scored six points along with five steals.
Bruce has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Calhoun City, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-8.
Bruce will head out on the road to challenge Houlka at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Houlka has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 199 points over their last three matches. Calhoun City won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Independence at 1:00 p.m. on January 13th. Independence is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
