The Lake Creek Lions extended their postseason success on Friday against the Crockett Cougars. They breezed by the Cougars on the road to the tune of 78-27. The win was just business as usual for Lake Creek, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.
Leading Lake Creek to victory were Eli Morcos and Tyvonn Byars. Morcos rushed for 40 yards and two touchdowns, while Byars rushed for 208 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 9.5 yards per carry. Brooks Mcgee also helped out with an impressive 82 receiving yards.
Lake Creek's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Crockett, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
Lake Creek will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Port Neches-Groves at 7:00 p.m. on November 24th. Port Neches-Groves is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Crockett does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
