The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Padua Academy just coasted through the last quarter.
When it comes to explaining why Hodgson Vo-Tech lost, one person who can't be blamed is Thailys Torres. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. Torres is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played.
Padua Academy is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Hodgson Vo-Tech, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Padua Academy will take on Archmere Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Padua Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Archmere Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hodgson Vo-Tech, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome St. Georges Tech at 3:45 p.m. on February 12th. Hopefully Hodgson Vo-Tech focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Friday.
