Monticello took a eight-run defeat the last time they faced off against Charlottesville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 victory over the Black Knights on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Bryson Jackson was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
