This season hasn't been kind to the Fresta Valley Christian Pioneers, who are still winless after their fourth game. They were dealt a 57-27 defeat at the hands of Regents on Thursday. Fresta Valley Christian has not had much luck with Regents recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Regents found their leader in underclassman Kaileen Harlow, who scored 27 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Harlow has scored at least a third of Regents' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiara Bullard, who scored nine points along with five blocks and two steals.
Fresta Valley Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Regents, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-4.
Fresta Valley Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mountain View Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on February 9th. Regents will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Blue Ridge Christian at 10:00 a.m. on January 20th. Blue Ridge Christian will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
