Fairfield kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 3-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
As for Jimtown, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-8. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly three runs.
On Jimtown's side, Brodric Kaler made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. Dalton Cook was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Coming up, Fairfield will head out on the road to take on South Bend Riley at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Jimtown, they will host South Bend Adams at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.64 runs per game on average), something the Jimmies will no doubt try to take advantage of.
