East Windsor is 1-8 against Canton since April of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Warriors at 3:45 p.m.
On Tuesday, East Windsor didn't have quite enough to beat Windsor Locks and fell 6-5.

Elias Jacobs put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over 6.2 innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Evan Witzke was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Meanwhile, Canton beat Stafford 5-2 on Tuesday.
Vin Forte spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up 13 Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Canton is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 6-10 otherwise.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Noah Asmar, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Canton is 2-1 when Asmar posts two or more runs, but 6-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Oden Berg, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
East Windsor's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Canton, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-11.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. East Windsor has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Canton struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
East Windsor suffered a grim 14-0 defeat to Canton in their previous meeting back in May of 2023. Will the Panthers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
