The Neshannock Lancers fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They breezed by Ellwood City on the road to the tune of 42-14. The result was nothing new for Neshannock, who have now won three matches by 28 points or more so far this season.
Jino Mozzocio had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, and also threw for 185 yards and two touchdowns. Patrick Argiro was in the mix as well, providing Neshannock with three touchdowns.
Neshannock's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Anthony Bonner and his two sacks.
Ellwood City's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Palmer-McCane, who rushed for 106 yards on only 14 carries.
Neshannock is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which somehow isn't as good as their 8-1 record this season. As for Ellwood City, their loss dropped their record down to 4-5.
Neshannock does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ellwood City is also done with their season.
