While losing is never fun, Faith Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 583rd, while Bible Baptist Christian is ranked 209th).
Bible Baptist Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Beckham Jarrard, who dropped a triple-double on 28 points, 17 rebounds, and 12 assists. Those 12 assists set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Alano Doreste, who dropped a triple-double on 22 points, 20 rebounds, and ten assists.
Faith Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Bible Baptist Christian, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Faith Christian Academy will challenge Augusta Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bible Baptist Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Faith Baptist Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
