The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was IZEIR MAYBEN, who scored ten points along with two steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. TYLER CRIDER was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Meanwhile, New Life Christian Academy's and South View's game on Monday was close at halftime, but New Life Christian Academy turned on the heat in the second half with 43 points. New Life Christian Academy put the hurt on South View with a sharp 67-43 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win New Life Christian Academy has posted since November 7, 2023.
New Life Christian Academy had a senior duo take command as Marquez Rochelle scored 20 points and Kaleb James scored nine points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. Another player making a difference was D'Marion Tomlinson, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Elevation Prep Academy's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 7-11. As for New Life Christian Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-9.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as the two teams are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Elevation Prep Academy hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 68.9 points per game. It's a different story for New Life Christian Academy, though, as they've been averaging only 60.9 points per game. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Elevation Prep Academy and New Life Christian Academy were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in January of 2023, but Elevation Prep Academy came up empty-handed after a 88-87 defeat.
