Make it 12 blowout wins for the Marlin Bulldogs this season. They claimed a resounding 81-9 win over Hubbard at home. The victory was familiar territory for Marlin who now have five in a row.
Kya Mitchell continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 37 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaria Johnson, who scored 19 points along with six assists and five steals.
Marlin's win bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Hubbard, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.
Marlin will look to defend their home court on Friday against Wortham at 6:15 p.m. Wortham comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last 15 games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. Hubbard on the road again on Friday and play against Axtell at 6:15 p.m. on January 26th. Axtell is on a six-game streak of home losses, Hubbard a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
