The Grace Christian Academy EAGLES will head out on the road to take on the Sugar Hill Christian Academy Stallions at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Grace Christian Academy strolled past Peoples Baptist Academy with points to spare, taking the game 68-52. Given Grace Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 211th, while Peoples Baptist Academy is ranked 524th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Ethan Riesberg, who dropped a triple-double on 18 points, 13 rebounds, and ten blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Zion Johnson, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Sugar Hill Christian Academy waltzed into their game last Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They took down Covenant Christian Academy 72-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
The victory makes it two in a row for Grace Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 14-4. As for Sugar Hill Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season.
Grace Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Sugar Hill Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, winning 70-59. The rematch might be a little tougher for Grace Christian Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
