After flying high against the Kingsbury Falcons last Monday, the Cordova Wolves came back down to earth. Cordova was outmatched by Houston at home and fell 76-28. Cordova has struggled against Houston recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Anna lee Avery was her usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with eight steals and six rebounds for Houston. Another player making a difference was Mckenzie Percoski, who scored 15 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Cordova's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Houston, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.
Cordova will head out on the road to challenge Arlington at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Arlington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday. As for Houston, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southwind at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
