The Carlson Marauders had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.4 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They blew past Lincoln Park 45-13 at home. The result was nothing new for Carlson, who have now won six contests by 23 points or more so far this season.
Carlson found their leader in underclassman Izaiah Wright, who rushed for 209 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. Wright is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last seven games he's played.
Carlson's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.8 points per game. As for Lincoln Park, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Carlson will look to defend their home field on Friday against Churchill at 7:00 p.m. Lincoln Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
