The Horizon Hawks entered their tilt with the Loveland Red Wolves with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Horizon took their match at home on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 74-20 victory over Loveland. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Horizon has managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Horizon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Morgan Ives, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Madyn Kassatly, who scored 13 points along with five steals.
Horizon pushed their record up to 13-2 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Loveland, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Horizon the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Monarch at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Monarch will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 55th, while Horizon is ranked tenth). As for Loveland, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Fort Collins at 6:30 p.m.
