Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marathon). They put the hurt on the Newman Fighting Cardinals with a sharp 67-44 victory on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Red Raiders have posted since March 2nd.

The victory made it two in a row for Marathon and bumps their season record up to 3-3. As for Newman, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marathon and Assumption will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Assumption will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Marathon surely won't give up without a fight. Newman will take on Stratford in a holiday battle at at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
