The Norton Bluejays will head out on the road to face off against the Plainville Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Norton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Norton came up short against the Eagles and fell 59-50. Norton has not had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Eli Jones, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds. Jones is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylen Murray, who scored 20 points.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Plainville ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Russell out 60-58. The win made it back-to-back wins for Plainville.
Norton's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-3. As for Plainville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
Everything went Norton's way against the Cardinals when the teams last played two weeks ago as the Bluejays made off with a 57-31 win. Will Norton repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
