The Poquoson Islanders suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a rough 53-22 loss at the hands of Grafton. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Poquoson has scored all season.
They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Dayne Galacgac and
Dominic Galacgac, who each put up six points.
Poquoson's loss was their eighth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-9. As for Grafton, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Poquoson on the road again on Friday and play against Jamestown at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. One thing working in Jamestown's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six games. As for Grafton, they will head out on the road to take on Bruton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Bruton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Wednesday.
