Montesano is on a five-game streak of home wins, while College Place is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. College Place's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Saturday: Montesano hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Bulldogs never let Hoquiam get on the board and left with a 13-0 win on Thursday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Grizzlies recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Not much got past Violet Prince, who gave up just two hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Hoquiam off the board. Prince has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Montesano let Kylee Wisdom and Ali Parkin run wild. Wisdom went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Parkin went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI Wisdom has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Liv Robinson, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Meanwhile, College Place entered their matchup against Kiona-Benton on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Hawks came up short against the Bears, falling 13-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Hawks have suffered since May 4, 2024.
Kenadie Schreindl made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles. Adrienne Berube was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run.
Montesano's win bumped their record up to 14-4-1. As for College Place, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-4.
Saturday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Montesano hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .396. However, it's not like College Place struggles in that department as they've averaged .450. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Montesano took their victory against College Place in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 16-6 score. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
