Mount Vernon had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 6-7 to make it four. They lost 13-3 to the Edison Eagles. That's two games in a row now that the Majors have lost by exactly ten runs.

Jordyn Summers was cooking despite his team's loss, earning two runs and four stolen bases. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Everett Paone, who got on base in both of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
As for Edison, they moved to 7-5-1 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won six contests by ten runs or more so far this season.
On Edison's side, Matthias Alden was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Alden was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
In other pitching news, Sam Roeschlein looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, Edison let John Dobson and Zyler Munoz run wild. Dobson got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Munoz went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Miggy Zayas was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs.
