The Intrinsic Mustangs will venture away from home to square off against the Prosser Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Intrinsic will be strutting in after a victory while Prosser will be coming in after a loss.
On Tuesday, Intrinsic got the win against Bulls College Prep by a conclusive 20-9. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won seven matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Adrian Benitez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also big at the plate, earning two RBI and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Intrinsic got a massive performance out of Marco Rodriguez, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and five RBI. Rodriguez is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Angel Munoz, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with five stolen bases and four runs.
Intrinsic was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .375 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, while it was Prosser who put the first runs on the board on Tuesday, it was ITW David Speer Academy who put up more. The Falcons fell 14-10 to the Pride. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jeremy Del Rio stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Prosser is 5-1 when Del Rio posts three or more RBI, but 5-6 otherwise. Kajarrie Walker was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases and two runs.
Intrinsic is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Prosser, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.
Wednesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Intrinsic hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .368. However, it's not like Prosser struggles in that department as they've averaged .369. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Intrinsic might still be hurting after the 23-5 loss they got from Prosser when the teams last played back in April. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
