The Monroe Hornets's three-game losing streak came to an end on Wednesday. They strolled past Brookville with points to spare, taking the game 46-32. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Monroe also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Despite the loss, Brookville still got an impressive performance from Ashlee Haupt, who scored 18 points. Haupt scored a full 56.3% of Brookville's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The victory got Monroe back to even at 3-3. As for Brookville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monroe will square off against Ross at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. Ross is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.4 points per game. Brookville is on the road again on Saturday and play against Oakwood at 1:15 p.m. on December 16th.
