Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Midlothian). They took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 64-27 win over the Ennis Lions. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 215th, while the Lions are ranked 1019th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Makenzie Bodine, who posted seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jhazmyne Jackson, who had six points.

The victory made it two in a row for Midlothian and bumps their season record up to 11-8. As for Ennis, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Midlothian will host Red Oak at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Ennis, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Ennis Lions duke it out with the Terrell Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
