Daniel Mobley threw for four touchdowns as
Colquitt County (Moultrie, Ga.) defeated
Brunswick (Ga.) 41-16 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Sihiem King touchdown run in the first quarter, the Packers were up 17-8 at the half.
Colquitt County grew its lead to 30 points entering the fourth quarter. CC scored three times in the third, including once on a Mobley touchdown pass to
Todd Boyd.
The Moultrie school put up 21 points in the third quarter en route to the win. Three times in the quarter the Packers found the end zone through the air, including two receptions by
Kiel Pollard.
Colquitt County came into the game allowing 10.7 points per game.
CC also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 44-26.
The defeat comes as a step back for Brunswick, who notched a 26-16 victory over Coffee in its previous outing.
Colquitt County (6-1) will play a AAAAAA Region 1 game against Valdosta next week, while Brunswick (3-4) will take on Camden County also in a AAAAAA Region 1 game.
