The Buena Colts are taking a road trip to square off against the Vista Grande Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
Buena easily dispatched Estrella Foothills on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Buena fell just short of Catalina Foothills by a score of 10-8 on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Colts in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost three in a row.

Eltorna Gant III was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Angel Rendon, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4.
Vista Grande kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Flowing Wells only managed three hits.
Vista Grande has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. Buena's loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
