The St. John Lutheran Saints will head out to challenge the Eastside Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. John Lutheran is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

St. John Lutheran was handed a ten-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Taylor 4-2.

Cooper Gloege was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025. Carlos Sanchez also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Eastside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against P.K. Yonge, falling 11-0.

St. John Lutheran is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Eastside, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-12.

St. John Lutheran's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's matchup. The Saints have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Eastside, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will St. John Lutheran continue to outrun the ball?

St. John Lutheran got the 'W' in their previous meeting last Tuesday against Eastside by a conclusive 19-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Saints since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
