Winston-Salem Prep managed a 54-48 win over Carver. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Winston-Salem Prep.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Winston-Salem Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amaire Fasion, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Fasion pulled down eight or more rebounds. Jace Covington was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with three steals.
Carver lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kejuan Bruton, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Quinton Stone, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Winston-Salem Prep's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Carver, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-9.
Winston-Salem Prep will be playing at home against Millennium at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Millennium has now lost 13 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 13. As for Carver, they will head out on the road to challenge Triad Math and Science Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
