Burbank has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Pasadena Bulldogs at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Burbank knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Pasadena likes a good challenge.
Burbank pushed their score all the way to 61 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 69-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Arcadia. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Tuesday (56), Burbank still had to take the loss.
Despite their loss, Burbank saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Odartey Blankson, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Blankson hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Kamran Alborzian, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Pasadena scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 80-49 victory over Glendale. Winning may never get old, but Pasadena sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Burbank bumped their record down to 5-19 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.2 points per game. As for Pasadena, their win bumped their record up to 20-3.
Burbank lost to Pasadena on the road by a decisive 76-62 margin when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Can Burbank avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
