Northside - Pinetown can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 55-0 win over Lejeune. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Northside - Pinetown just coasted through the last quarter.
Jamie Corprew was his usual excellent self, rushing for 194 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries. Corprew hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for five straight games. Sincere Columbus was another major influence, as he rushed for 43 yards and ran in a TD.
Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Pamlico County on Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Jones out of the water with a 55-0 final score.
Jayden Williams was a one-man wrecking crew for Pamlico County as he rushed for 141 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Tyler Stevens was in the mix too, providing Pamlico County with two touchdowns.
Northside - Pinetown's win was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-9 Jones and 1-8 East Carteret (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 22.8% over those games). As for Pamlico County, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.
Everything came up roses for Northside - Pinetown against Pamlico County in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 54-8 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northside - Pinetown since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
