Meanwhile, even though Tower Hill scored an imposing 56 points on Saturday, Sanford still came out on top. Sanford walked away with a 68-56 win over Tower Hill. Given Sanford's advantage in MaxPreps' Delaware basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Tower Hill is ranked 28th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jayden Taylor was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Stephen Conway was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
The victory got Wilmington Christian back to even at 3-3. As for Sanford, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.
Wilmington Christian was dealt a bruising 75-34 defeat at the hands of Sanford in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Wilmington Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
